The Interdisciplinary Performance Art Workshop, led by Donna Ahmadi and Dianna Cortez, will encourage participants to explore their imaginations through movement, voice, and unique individual interdisciplinary skills. Inspired by personal experiences and their relationship with nature and their environment, participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery and explore new possibilities through the exercises we offer. Our participants will create and perform an ensemble-driven interdisciplinary artwork as an installation piece that will culminate in a performance at “Ice on Fire” in Montpelier, VT.  The workshop fosters curiosity and artistic growth through the transformative power of collective creativity. We will foster collaboration across disciplines through 3 phases of development.

Phase 1: Preparing the Body and Voice for a range of possibilities

Phase 2: Devising an Interdisciplinary Artwork with internal inspirations and winter themes

Phase 3: Performing an original Interdisciplinary Artwork at “Ice on Fire”
